That was my request to Lori and Stacey in our meetings department after the Annual Meeting. Unfortunately, I missed the fact that we had initiated a President’s Club program for the meetings department. Even worse, we had two meeting planners earn this high honor and I failed to recognize them during our Top Producers session. But three pieces of good news: First, Lori and Stacey have accepted my 1,000 pardons…thank you very much!!! Secondly, we were able to add them to the current trips…even better. And lastly, we’re going to give them the credit for us getting such an awesome resort this year…I mean, why not!??!! :)

Congratulations to both Lori and Stacey for earning a spot on the President’s Club trip. They blew past the goals we established and just did an awesome job in 2017!

The big event is nearly upon us, so it’s time to do a little housekeeping! Below is a final list of important reminders and updates regarding this weekend’s celebration.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes: If you have changes of any kind related to your itinerary or registration, please DO NOT contact suppliers directly. Please contact Lisa Townsend at lisa.townsend@adtrav.com or Virginia Swift at Virginia.swift@adtrav.com to make any changes.

Park It: Please do not valet at the hotel, as you will not be reimbursed. You may pull up to the entrance, drop off your luggage, and then park your car.

Checking In? Hotel check-in is Friday, 5PM–8PM, in the upper level of the hotel lobby.

Patience Is a Virtue: Absolutely no room keys will be available before 5PM, so please do not ask—it ain’t happening.

Hi, My Name Is: Even if you’re asking for your BFF, roommate, or manager, you will not be allowed to pick up name badges for anyone other than yourself.

A Badge of Honor: Your name badge must be worn at all events during the weekend, with the exception of dinner Saturday evening, which is optional.

Dolla Dolla Bills, Y’all: Bring cash or checks so you can purchase additional raffle tickets to benefit the ACIF. The prize will be WORTH IT! We will also have an additional cash-only bar on Saturday night following dinner and awards banquet.

Why Wait? We will kick off the Welcome Reception at 7PM—an hour earlier than originally planned! Join us in the Courtyard Tent at 7PM and let’s begin the weekend with a bang!

Gone Phishing: Please stop by the ADTRAV table during breaks to meet your RezNet team, pick up your soft phone adaptor, and go phishing!

Chow Time: Please remember to bring your meal tickets for Saturday’s lunch and dinner. And don’t forget your drink tickets either! Lost tickets will not be replaced.

Peace Out, Ross Bridge: Hotel checkout is at 11AM on Sunday. Associates who are flying will receive personalized departure instructions. Those who drove may leave the hotel following the conclusion of Sunday’s trade show (about 12PM).

Keep It Profesh: Most importantly, please remember that this is a business function, and you should be on your best behavior at all times. We will have supplier partners in attendance at every event.

How Many New Contacts Will You Make?

The ADTRAV trade show is coming up on January 28, the final day of the 2018 Annual Meeting! This year, we have numerous airlines, individual hotel properties, hospitality management companies, more vacation vendors, and many new participants!

For vendors, the trade show is an opportunity to interact with you (their front line) and provide information about their services. For attendees, the trade show is an opportunity to learn more about ALL of ADTRAV’s suppliers—not just vendors you already interact with on a regular basis. Use the trade show to become better educated, so we can all better serve our clients.

Let’s remember our motto—Service Nonstop!

NAVIGATE THE TRADE SHOW LIKE A PRO

  1. Have a Plan
    • Review the participant list and floorplan (forthcoming) prior to the Annual Meeting.
    • Identify vendors you interact with and note table locations of unfamiliar vendors.
    • Vendor name badges will have an “Exhibitor” ribbon for easy identification.
  1. Dress to Impress (Comfortably!)
    • You are a representative of ADTRAV. Wear business casual attire and comfy shoes.
    • Be sure to wear your name badge proudly so vendors can identify you.
  1. Get Out There and Network
    • The more people you speak with, the more you will learn and make important contacts.
    • If you have business cards, bring them with you.
    • Don’t forget to smile! J
  1. Discover Untapped Opportunities
    • The more engaged you are, the more you will benefit from the trade show.
